Q. What is the purpose of the Gala?

A. Our Annual Gala raises critical funds for need-based scholarships. Nearly 30 percent of our student body rely on these funds to attend Nortwhest Academy. The Gala is our only fundraiser for student aid and your support makes a world of difference.

 

Q. What should I expect?

A. Our Gala features a cocktail reception, dinner with live auction, and an original production featuring our advanced dance, vocal, and band students. It's a lively, fun event and is not your typical school auction.

 

Q. Where is the event?

A. The Gala will be at The Nines in downtown Portland.

 

Q. Where do I park?

A. Nearby public parking options include SmartPark Garages, street or valet parking.

 

Q. What time does the event begin?

A. Registration for regular ticket holders opens at 5:30 pm. Purchase tickets in advance as they will not be available at the door. Pro-tip: You will be able to pre-register for the event. Look for a text/email that will be sent the day of the event and save time at registration.

 

Q. What should I wear to the Gala?

A. Theme-related and cocktail attire is encouraged.

 

Q. Will there be a silent auction?

A. Yes! There will be an online silent auction (anyone can bid) as well as an in-person Super Silent auction (for auction guests). The online silent auction opens Wednesday, February 25th. Look for an email on that day for how to bid.

 

Q. Do you have a room block at the Nines for Gala guests?

A. We are working with the Nines to reserve a block of rooms for our Gala guests, check back for updates.

 

Q. I'm not able to attend the live auction. Can I proxy bid?

A. Yes you can! If you are not able to attend the Gala but would still like to support this event by bidding on a live auction item, please contact our development office.
